What Heaven Might Be

This poem of comfort was written by Jessica, aged 8, my daughter

The angels sing, I can touch the clouds,
I see lots of people.
I taste the clouds as I reach out for them.
I feel calm,
I smell the flowers.

Columbus Day?-Native Americans' Day

The second Monday of October annually marks Columbus Day in many parts the United States but not all states or region follow this observance. Instead, they celebrate other events on the day. For example, South Dakota's official holiday on this date is Native Americans' Day (also known as Native American Day), while people in Berkeley, California, celebrate Indigenous People's Day.

What do people do?

In South Dakota people celebrate Native Americans' Day through learning from… Continue

Where Have All Of Americas Men Disappeared to...?

My comments here exclude those men who have stepped forward with incredible courage since 1913 to face this tyrannical government, and like our Founding Fathers, have paid an enormous price both personally and financially. People like Bill Benson, our fine gentlemen down in the great State of Tennessee and too many others to list.

Americans forget that the Founding Fathers were the "moneyed class" back then. They were farmers, merchants and men of means. They had a lot to…

A Timely Book about What Is The Church..And Why It Is Failing To See The Writing On The wall

The Pastor Has No Clothes

"We are mortgaging our spiritual future on a bankrupt concept"

The early church did not have it. None of the apostles ever held the job. In fact, it appears nowhere in the New Testament.

Now, author Jon Zens states what undoubtedly has occurred to many Christians: the role of the "pastor" needs to be reconsidered.

In his new book, The Pastor Has No… Continue

Getting Bit And Geezer Laments

TWO OLD MEN (STEVE AND DOUG?)) DECIDE THEY ARE CLOSE TO THEIR LAST DAYS AND DECIDE TO HAVE A LAST NIGHT ON THE TOWN. AFTER A FEW DRINKS, THEY END UP AT THE LOCAL BROTHEL. THE MADAM TAKES ONE LOOK AT THE TWO OLD GEEZERS AND WHISPERS TO HER MANAGER, 'GO UP TO THE FIRST TWO BEDROOMS AND PUT AN INFLATED DOLL IN EACH BED. THESE TWO ARE SO OLD AND DRUNK; I'M NOT WASTING TWO OF MY GIRLS ON THEM. THEY WON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE.' THE MANAGER DOES AS HE IS TOLD AND THE… Continue

More Common Sense Reasons To Proclaim Truth

“[U]nder Socialism you would not be allowed to be poor. You would be forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and employed whether you liked it or not. If it were discovered that you had not the character and industry enough to be worth all this trouble, you might possibly be executed in a kindly manner. . . .” - George Bernard Shaw , 1928.

Politically Incorrect But The Truth Is The Truth

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools… Continue

"Deer" And Farmer Go To War...Guess Who Won..?

Why we shoot deer in the wild...

I had this idea that I could rope a deer, put it in a stall, feed it up on corn for

a couple of weeks, then kill it and eat it. The first step in this adventure was getting a deer I figured that, since they congregate at my cattle feeder and

do not seem to have much fear of me when we are there (a bold one will sometimes come right up and sniff at the bags of feed while I am in the back

of… Continue

When Is A KIss...Like Jumping Off A Bridge?

THE KISS'

A tough looking biker was riding his Harley when he sees a girl about to jump off a bridge so he stops.

"What are you doing?" he asks.

"I'm going to commit a suicide," she says.

While he did not want to appear insensitive, he didn't want to miss an opportunity either..

He asked "Well, before you jump, why don't you give me a Kiss?"

So, a kiss he gets, long, slow, passionate..

After she's finished, the biker… Continue

The Sheer Nightgown

THE SHEER NIGHTGOWN....

A husband walks into Victoria 's Secret to purchase a sheer

negligee for his wife. He is shown several possibilities that range

from $250 to $500 in price -- the more sheer, the higher the price.

Naturally, he opts for the most sheer item, pays the $500, and takes

it home. He presents it to his wife and asks her to go upstairs, put

it on, and model it for him.

UPSTAIRS THE WIFE… Continue

Kiowa -our Wood Bison has gone to his spirit lodge

Kiowa – Bison Extraordinaire

Moonridge Animal Park has lost one of our longest residents, our Woodland Bison Kiowa. Cause of death: Old Age

Kiowa was a very special animal and will be deeply missed.

Kiowa was born at the Moonridge Animal Park in May of 1992. His father Cochise came to us from the San Diego Zoo along with two females and another male. Cochise lived to be 16 years old, but his son Kiowa lived to be almost 20! Kiowa is survived by his half brother… Continue

A STORY: The wandering Cow

For three months, she’s held a whole country spellbound. As if sensing that she was next in line for the slaughterhouse, Yvonne the cow broke through an electric fence on a farm near Munich, Germany, and headed for the forest.

A few days later she was almost hit by a police car while crossing a highway, and was promptly designated a public danger who should be shot on…

The Budwiser Commercial...

I received an e-mail early this morning asking why I would put a Budwiser Commercial on the homepage in the event of the 9/11 tragedy...

First of all I do take into consideration that we cannot please everyone with what is posted on the homepage. You will find most of the videos and posts are rather generic as to not offend anyone and their beliefs. If you take a look around we have Christian, Atheist, Pagan, Wiccan, Democrat, Republican, Liberal and many of those in between.

I…

For those of us that try to determine exactly what has caused the once proud and rich nation of ours to fall into a debt crisis that is so large that even trying to make interest only payments has brought us to the edge of financial disaster...What happened to our "dollar"?.Why are we still sending money abroad if in fact we are broke? How do we ever expect to regain our economic strength?..I have been studying this… Continue

The Modoc war a piece of our History

California and the Indian Wars

The Modoc War, 1872-1873

by Warren A. Beck and Ynez D. Hasse

This conflict resulted from forces common to all Indian wars: the encroachment of whites upon traditional Indian land until the aboriginal way of life was threatened with extinction. However, it was complicated by the appearance of the Ghost Dance religion, which (it was believed) protected the Indians from the white man's…
