What Heaven Might Be

[Ms. Down-to-Earth]

This poem of comfort was written by Jessica, aged 8, my daughter

The angels sing, I can touch the clouds,
I see lots of people.
I taste the clouds as I reach out for them.
I feel calm,
I smell the flowers.

This was a school assignment and was required to include all the senses. She choose the topic and wrote it all by herself. It teared me up as it was shortly after my Dad's death - I shared it with a few friends who suffered the loss of a family member.

Jessica has had the most trouble of all my daughters upon Poppa's passing. I think she was brave to write this and I hope it brought her as much comfort as it did to others.
