Survivor of Yesterdays

As I look back a many of my yesterdays

I realized I was a survivor

Just as my ancestors were

The trials facied by each of us

In our Yesterdays has made us stronger

And in some cases wiser

Many of us had to make choices

Hard life or death choices

Yet here we are

Living another unpromised day

No matter what is faced today

It will be a great day

Simply because we are…

Never Thought About It

Yes there were words of love in his remark

Grandma you need a new step stool

A old stool that has paint on it

The padded top is no longer padded

But

I bought…

half mast flag and worn out boots

that’s what i see at the end of many of my veterans days

coming home from wars torn and beaten inside

many hearts filled with anger and pain

hearts turned into half mast flags that cling to the memories

the brothers lost, the good times…

It's a Good Day To be Alive



Nothing is as it was yesterday



Nothing will be the same as Tomorrow



When Tomorrow becomes today



So it's a Great Day to be alive



To witness that which will never again be



Everything changes



Even you and what you see, feel, or do



So breathe deep



And take in all the Good around you



Have a day filled with many blessings
