Western Carolina University has begun to post Cherokee language lessons, Eastern dialect for free.
They are working with the Eastern Band in NC to teach and save the Cherokee language. They are including the audio with the lessons.

Back in my day there were no Blue Lights put out when a Officer of the Law Lost their Life

I was fortunate as a Child I never had to live through the loss of a Father, but on many of the calls my Father responded to as a Police Officer and Sheriff we still lived with a Fear..

Now another Officer has lost his life just a few miles from me. Sgt. Goodding, A Husband, Father of 2 and a Man who loved his Community, who was always out there for At Risk Children…

How Can It Be??

That you can find happiness in the death of another??

Some known to me and others unknown

For many years…

There is No Greater Sin

Than ignoring our God

And his Soldiers and Veterans

God Died for Us All

Our Military has sacrificed and died for us all

Every Right we have has been protected by

Men and Women in Uniform

Not a greedy Politician

Or a preacher rolling in cash in a glass Cathedral

It is time to Thank God for our…

We Were Blest

Those of my age you see

To have lived in the time when

Kids could run free

To play free

Streets were safe for everybody

Doors were left open

The yard not all fenced in

In the days we all could walk

Anytime on the city streets

In a time when guns went to schools

Without anyone getting shot

We went many places

Without any fears

Just happy and free



A time when those who lived around…
