My Precious Bonsai Oak Tree

Just have to share the story of my first real Bonsai Tree; this is an Oak Tree. Well, began as an Acorn I found on the sidewalk under an Oak Tree on one of my many walks. I first placed into a baggy with other Oak seeds then moistened with a bit of napkins then placed into the refrigerator for 1000 hours. Then after that period of time I placed into small natural pots for growing.

After awhile I noticed a few sprouting into soon to be Oak Trees so I thought to turn just one into Bonsai; the rest would be planted down in the valley where there is an Oak Grove Forest where I feel they would love to be planted.

Anyhow; here is the first photos of the Oak Tree Bonsai to be.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoy the growing and can enjoy watching the process as I get photos.

Photo taken on February 12; tap root about one inch long so I planted into the Bonsai dish.

This one I shall Bonsai, ten other seeds that have sprouted also but they will be planted in the valley where there are other oak trees : )

I will post new photos as the precious little tree grows.

Just a note-These have grown a lot since I last took photos!
