9\11 and their thoughts

They are old, tired, retired,have out lived many and are Veterans who still Soldier in their hearts.
With the newest resident they have wars served from WW11 to Vietnam..

They always believed if they went and fought their Country could and would be safer..but September 11th 2001 changed what they thought and how they felt..

I won't even touch on the political thoughts of my guys cause those words are not allowed here, but the pain, and anger is there...they served their Country and they lived the days of you work, sweat and protect your family and neighbors, even if they did not approve of the war you fought..

Many think my Guys are just old un-informed geezers, but in truth they are very aware of what's happening and they wonder and worry about whats happening to their Homeland...

Yep yesterday was a day I should have smuggled in a bottle of booze

Question:
have you ever ask yourself how many Veterans are alone and forgotten in nursing homes and care centers and do you have a hour or two to change that

No offense taken Michael just wanted you to know I would never put these wonderful souls in any harm... they are very open about their lives and their weaknesses they each have their own triggers from dear john letters to drugs. I am glad you have your support group that is so important for anyone in this world.. my men have either no one in this world or have family that has chosen not to remember they exist.. But for me They Exist and I will be a Pain in their back sides as long as God gives us days to live.. Before my husband passed he use to transport many of our Veterans to Kidney Dialysis and other medical VA appointments over the mountain ..Since he was a Medic he could handle most problems but I am not able to so I am just their Sweet Treats old lady who plays cards and listen when they need me to

I know their history and am very aware of what their triggers are..Booze is a word we use frequently when they are upset with how they view what is happening in our Country...then we drink coffee and snack on whatever I take..
