Great site...thank you!
I live in NE Washington state so guess that is zone 5 on the map. In the fall, with the leaves here I use my mulching mower to run over the leaves without the mower bag and do this twice. This grinds them up pretty fine and then I go a 3rd time with the bag on and put the ground leaves in the compost pile. It does wonders for worms and their castings and each year by mid summer my compost is perfect for the garden. Our growing season here is short but by putting my tomato plants (I use Celebrity tomato plants) in containers on average, each plant will produce around 60-70 nice size tomatoes. Looking forward to this site for planting now in 2016...equa wado for putting this together.

Composting And Mulching Fall Leaves

Autumn brings with it brisk cool weather and the vibrant color of Fall foliage. Eventually this foliage falls to the ground and must be raked and properly disposed of or utilized.
