Well I did not wish to cause any discention among my brothers and am glad to see the words agree to disagree.. as old as I am I can say I have seen bad in policing in earlier times when my father lived by his military oath in a officer of the law position, he was no one special he just loved his community and he taught us everyone deserves a second chance and sometimes even more if they were struggling with demons of the past.
And not to many years ago we sought to remove a officer who was not a role model that parents would have wanted for any child..
But the Officer we lost was a good man who worked hard to turn at risk children around..
Was taught long ago no matter what is collected in a bushel basket
there will always be a few that do not remain true to their purpose intended in life.
Peace my Family
Michael.... we have opposing views and I see nothing wrong with that. I was not offended by your post. I can agree to disagree and move one. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Michael.....you are entitled to your thoughts of course, but as with all things there are two sides to each story. As a combat vet, no one bought me or my fellows off. Both sides created this mess, both sides fueled the lack of trust and both sides will have to grow up, buck up and get over their egos to make things work. It is sad that being divisive is so alive and well today. The old Native people sought a oneness and ego was not allowed to dominate. Healing will come when all look and see that we are all related. Hate and love are four letter words...one heals, one destroys. We were born with love....hate is what we learned somewhere along the way. Respect, no matter which side a person is on is something that is earned, not owed. What we see here with law enforcement and others is what we see all over the world....division rather than a coming together. Division is easy, but in truth, a coming together would be much easier if there were no ego, greed, or quest for power. Animals kill out of necessity, humans kill because they want to. Each side blames the other when in fact each side helped create the mess. Humility can bring peace....arrogance and thinking one is better than the other will always divide. Just a thought
Osiyo to All , wishing you all a Blessed Sunday.. Life is not quite Normal here as I see the pain in my neighbors eyes and the unspoken questions.. and Corey has the band across his Officers Badge.. this little Family has so much in common with our Fallen Officer..This Loss ripples across our whole County and through many Police Stations and Families around the Country.. Tonight the Community comes together at the Football field in Seaside, Or.. Maybe if you are out today and see one in Uniform you might just say Thank You.. It will mean as much to them as it does our Veterans and our Serving Military
Peace my Family and may you share the Love in your Heart with others
Yeehaa....
My big 50 is tomorrow
Do not know what hubby has planned but I told him absolutely NO PARTY!
I just do not feel up to having anyone over or going anywhere.
We do have some work scheduled in the morning and all I really want is to relax and enjoy quiet time.
I hope everyone is doing great.
I will check in again sometime over the weekend.
Have a great Friday and weekend everyone
