Took this photo this afternoon while hiking in a new canyon area.
Had to look it up since I have never ever seen a butterfly quite like this. It is a Bramble Green Hairstreak - Callophyrys dumetorum

Fuzzy Wuzzy Caterpillar I did see
The road he was crossing as fast as could be
So I rushed over to rescue
and brought him home with me
On a branch of Poplar to eat
Here the fuzzy wuzzy takes a seat
now to share his photos with you

Can you see what I see?

In the brush I saw a little flicker
But I was quicker
Than this little beauty
Who flew off as quick as can be
But not before I did see!

Here is the beauty
before it took off in a rush.
Right out of the brush
And onto a stem; then to the air it went
So glad in the canyon afternoon I spent!
