Welcome This New Day

As I enter a new day

With a old Heart

Filled with many Memories

Many were Trials faced

A few successes

A Abundance of Blessings

And Memories of those lost.

The Family, Friends, and some strangers

That altered the way I chose to live

The wisdom they shared

They taught me to live with

Faith, Hope, Compassion,Sharing & Caring

Walking each day I live

In Honor and with Reverance

For those who Taught me right from wrong,

those who Sacrificed for me

On a Cross, in Uniform at one time or another

Many sacrificing their lives

Others who gave freely of their time

To Pray for me,

or help me up when I was down

How can any of us

Not welcome a new day

When in our Heart of hearts

We all know our past days have been

Protected and Watched Over by

The Family, Friends, and some we never knew

Today I

Welcome This New Day

With Reverance and in Honor of those

Who made it possible for me to

Greet this New Day..
