As we see ourselves, so we see the world. Time is one way we see ourselves.

If we see time as something finite with a beginning and an end, that's how we see ourselves. But if we see time as infinite, going on forever with no beginning or end, so too we see ourselves.

When Time Comes To A Stop

Why does time go faster when we get older? Remember waiting a week for Christmas felt like 2 years? Sooo slow. When does it come to a complete stop?

We're accustomed to using time in conjunction with purpose from the first grade. Why do we have to go to the first grade? we ask. So we can go to the 2nd grade we're told. And so it goes through work, job and marriage.  We' always seem to be caught in the future.

But there's another kind of purpose that has nothing to do with time.  It's when our primary purpose is being in the now. It makes everything better. Like cheese.  And it's only one thing.  It's when we just focus on what's happening now.  Not the past or the future.

Time Stamp

Indeed time may be a model we use for seeing life, but life is much more than we can comprehend and doesn't need time.  We only need eyes for beauty, wonder and love.  Thus we make a stamp of our own on time with the breadth and width of our heart.
