The Lord Must Be Watching Over Me and LOL

Born in the age of nothing we have today.

Back then we wrote letters, shopping lists

Back when phones hung on the wall and you turned the crank a couple times and our local operator and every other person lucky enough to have a phone also picked up and listened

A wood stove cooked our foods and a ugly brown heater that used oil kept some rooms warm, and you only allowed heat to go where it was really needed

Back in the day when you grew your food bartered with neighbors who had different crops...Raised up chickens to lay eggs and later become a Sunday Feast..

Back then the radio was a treasured gift we all enjoyed..I was a teen ager when I saw my first round almost, black and white TV in a friends home...........

Back then to own a non electric typewriter was above our means so I enjoyed the treat in my first typing class of my freshman year in high school

Back then I was a full fledged tom boy who could climb trees, swim with the best of fish, catch my fish with my bare hands and hunt for wildlife to fulfill the needs our family had..and out shoot most of the guys my age

That was a Wonderful Life Experience I am forever grateful for, a time that shall forever remain treasured in my heart

Back when Family was so important, back when life was not as easy as todays way of living..We ate at a Table, we said Grace before every meal, and a Prayer before resting in the evening so we could deal with a new day..

Believe when I say I miss those days, I think the Lord looked down upon us and smiled with a happy heart.

Today I think he looks down on me and wonders what I will try to learn today.. As I learn my way around Warrior Nation, and how to do new things I really think He is LOL and telling me to use my brain because he enjoyed my frustrations much more when I lived in simpler times...

I am sure when He quits rolling around laughing so hard tears roll down his cheeks he will again show me how to conquer that which I need to conquer..
