As i've grown older i have come to see that the younger generation (40 and below) have gone mostly online for all their reading and info these days , and going through my library tonight i can't help but wonder...if..anyone even remembers the books of their youth...and what do children read today..for pleasure and dreams ..
Does anyone remember Albert Payson Turhunes "LAD OF SUNNYBANK" and his storys of Collies... real dogs and a real place..or thrilled to Walter farleys "BLACK STALLION " books also Jim Kjelgaard's "IRISH RED and BIG RED" James Oliver Curwood's "KAZAN and BAREE SON OF KAZAN" has anyone even heard of these?
Josepf Wharton Lippincott's wonderful book about a Wolf called the"WOLF KING and its sequel "WILDERNESS CHAMPION" then theres Jack london,..RobertW.Service some of which can be found on my page...books like these shaped my life and in this turbulent age where blood and deception is the only language our country seems to understand...i wonder if maybe my time was a better time for growing up Some of these can be found online and some are still in print...the WOLF KING is worth hundreds of dollars in almost any condition...i'll give up mine when i gasp my last breath...so grab your kid and a book(not an ipad) and share! Peace

I loved the mystery series of Nancy Drew...my grandmother kept a list of the ones I had in her purse so if she found any while out shopping, she knew which ones to buy.
One of my favorites was Brighty of the Grand Canyon.
