Craigslist Dreamcatcher – Typical?

This one made me laugh and I thought I'd share...Real beads! (plastic) Be wary of things marked authentic because they most likely they are not.

Indian Country Today Media Network came across a Craigslist add this week that made us stop and scratch our heads. The seller advertises an “Authentic Dreamcatcher!! Pre-blessed” for only $45.

Within the posting the seller uses terms like: “complete with wolf power,” “shamanic traditions,” “moon blood offerings,” and “REAL Dreamcatcher.”

The claim of authenticity and the terms used, had us bewildered and feel you will be as well.

WHat a joke, there are dreamcatchers but they aren't TRADITIONAL not by my TRIBE? or any other TRIBES that I know of? THey are just something that someone came up with awhile ago? they aren't BLESSED BY GOD. They are just made by anyone, theres nothing SACRED about them. It's like a Rabbits FOOT< if you believe long enough they might WORK?? LOL? DEB in Portland Oregon.

OSIYO BROTHER WILLIAM I MAKE MY OWN DREAMCATCHERS AND KEY RINGS ALSO. I HAD ALSO MADE THE HEAD DRESSES THAT YOU HANG IN CARS AS WELL. I HAVE NOT ACCOMPLISHED MAKING A CHOKER YET ALTHOUGH I AM LOOKING TO FIND SOMEONE TO MAKE ONE FOR ME BUT I HAVE SUCN A SMALL NECK IT TAKES A SMALL ONE. ALL THAT I HAVE FOUND TO BUY ARE ALL TO BIG TO BE CALL A CHOKER FOR MY NECK. THEY LOOK MORE LIKE A NECKLACE AND THAT IS NOT WHAT I AM WANTING.

LOL, I thought it was funny to! I would pay $5 for it but I would be buying it as a nice wall decoration. You can find all sorts of funny things on Craigs List. My daughter is going to be putting her 1963 Fleetwood Cadi. on there soon to sell. She will have lots of pictures of it with a disclaimer that it doesn't run.
Keyboards....I would stick to new or a local shop that sells used computer stuff.

OMG LADYHAWK THIS IS FUNNY. I WOULD NOT PAY 5.00 DOLLARS FOR IT. THAT REMINDS ME OF THE MOTHERBOARD THAT WAS ORDER FOR MY DESKTOP AND IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A NEW ONE AND WHEN IT CAME IN AND WAS PUT IN MY DESKTOP IT LASTED NOT EVEN A MONTH AND IT WAS GUARNTEE AND I TELL YOU WHAT I WOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THOSE PEOPLE. THEY LIE AND DON'T HAVE GOOD THINGS. I DO NOT TRUST THEM AND NO ONE ELSE SHOULD EITHER THAT IS FOR SURE. NEVER AGAIN I WILL BUY ANTHING FROM CRAIGS LIST EVER. THEY SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE INTERNET AND SO NO ONE CAN OR EVER GET RIP OF THAT IS FOR SURE.
