A Visit With Grey Antelope

A Story
Sometime in the 80’s Carl ( my teacher ) Judy ( my wife ) and I took a trip to New Mexico to visit Grey Antelope on the Santa Clara Reservation. When you first meet him he looks at your heart Charka very closely, and if you pass inspection he will talk to you. Actually Grey antelope laughs a lot. We lived with him for three days. He placed me and Judy on a pallet in his medicine room and Carl stayed with him. I didn’t tell Judy about the tarantulas in New Mexico. We gifted him tobacco and sage.
He and Carl did a healing on Judy and she has been cancer free since. When he found out I was an electrician he took us around to different homes on the reservation and I did electrical maintenance work for the people. We sang and laughed at his stories. We bought some of his Santa Clara Pottery. That’s how he supported himself.
When leaving, Gray Antelope blessed us and gave us a task ( Medicine task ). We carried it out on the way home. On the drive home Carl and I saw two beams of energy flash up from earth to the sky. I didn’t figure out until years later that it came from Area 51.
I am very fortunate to have been able to spend some time with this great man. I hope to meet him again one day.
