She was a simple woman
Raised in a Culture and with Traditions
She was never asked to give up
At 15 her life changed
From Blackfoot culture and traditions
To understanding the Traditions and cultural world of a Christian Man and his family members
She managed to keep it all and pass her lessons learned down to many of us..
This picture was taken when she was her weakest, carrying which child I do not remember, but it was when she wanted to
find her village her people and discovered it no longer existed except in her heart and her memories of what once was..

My Hattie French who became Hattie French Freeman

I restored the old picture as best I could
I still work to restore many old films and negatives
left to me by those long gone
Of those who stayed together through so many hard times
and only death seperated them..
Oh how times have changed
