Hope you all have a warm and comfy day and a good holiday season surrounded with love, peace and harmony. Humanity right now seems to have a lot of turmoil going on and so often dwells on differences between peoples of various backgrounds and colors and yet consider:
When we look at millions of stars on a clear night and appreciate the beauty of it all...that beauty is based on difference...no two stars or planets are the same. Innovation comes from Different ideas being worked on until something happens. When we go into the forest and proclaim it's beauty...that beauty is based on different colors, sizes, shapes and smells. A wondrous rainbow is a collection of different colors which on their own are beautiful in their own right and when brought together as a rainbow are even more spectacular. Ever notice with a double rainbow that the colors of the second are reversed of the first one? Difference...and difference brings beauty, harmony and peace if only we allow it to.
If we are narrow minded just think of how boring life would be if we all thought the same way, looked the same way and acted the same way or if everywhere we traveled looked the same....think about it for a few moments. From the Grand Canyon to Mt. Everest the earth is different or think of the wonder of the ocean that is filled with DIFFERENT creatures and terrains. The sun is our life giver but it is different from the moon which controls our tides and brings light to the darkest of times...
Difference = beauty and wonder, accomplishment and a way forward.
As you enter these holidays, may you latch on to the beauty of human diversity and and reach out to a neighbor whom you have not yet met and say 'hey'.

I made peppermint bark and ended up with pieces of candy cane on the floor from bashing them with the rolling pin. So I had to sweep the kitchen floor. Then two of the kids made pretzel s'mores bars and they had to break the pretzels into bits...some ended up on the floor...out came the broom again.
