I had a neighbour, years ago, who would take his cats for drives so they would know that not all drives end up at the vets. It got so that the cats would sit on his shoulder in the van, enjoying themselves.

Well took my kids for a ride today just so they could learn not all rides are to the Vet or unknown fearful places.. They still rebel when it comes to having a leash on them, but they both seemed to enjoy sitting on my lap watching the waves roll in.. One day at a time Val and yes Tsoi I will conquer their fears and replace it with Trust.. and with weather in the 50's I take them out more ...

Val, yes please take it easy until things heal up so you can be here to keep the rest of us going, and Loretta, I have not been on here much as of late except to vote but sure do hope your 'kids' are getting better each day and getting back to trusting. So sad that people abuse animals who only want to love us and bring us some smiles and wagging tails but you are a healer in your own way so they will come around for sure.
You two are important parts of this family so please keep on keeping on and know you are loved and appreciated by us all here at this lodge. Hope you all have a great weekend and if things don't go oh so well.....then turn things around with your smile, love and appreciation!!!! Much of our day is how we make it and here...well....what better place to unload and get encouragement!!!!

So sad to hear of the backsteps of the furbabies Loretta. I am sure in time all will turn out fine.

Hope the rest of your day goes wonderfully for you.

I just been working, trying to take it easy in getting back into a light workout routine after the unbilical hernia repair surgery. So far all seems to be healing well, but I have to be patient and give time until I can do any real workouts.

Well, back to work for me so blessings to you and to everyone.

They always say there will be times we take 2 steps forward then slide back 4.. That seems to be what has happened with my 2 little rescues.. Their furgeries seems to to set them back in the trusting area.. but we are again making progress.. Have no idea why they were mistreated but hopefully I xan get them into a life of safety and secure feelings in their little hearts... Hopefully before my Feb and March surgeries.. will be a blessing not to have to read labels and my computer programs without a magnifier .. Oh well all is good here and we live one day at a time, mother Nature and Mother Earth are rewarding us with new life in the grounds around me and I am so very thankful to be able to see it happening.. Everyone have a Great Day
