We had a chance to see America in concert at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville Tennessee. The band was as good as I remembered them in 1972. America got the best new artist of the year in 1972. Let…Continue

54 Cereals We Loved and Lost - A Tribute
Remember cartoon-filled mornings as a kid in the 80s and early 90s? A time when all that mattered was wresting control of the remote from your big brother and mastering the marshmallow ratio in whatever totally ridiculous cereal you begged your parents for that week, because your next-door neighbor, Grace Cavadoy, had Fruity Marshmallow Krispies and GODDAMMIT you wanted them too!!! Ah...we've lost a lot of good brands since then.

So shotgun the sugar-saturated milk at the bottom of your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle bowl and imagine "I Will Remember You" playing faintly, as we take a tempting trip back through all the cereals who've moved on to that Big Breakfast in the sky.

I agree with both of you! First of all my kids made mud pies in the backyard and spent many hours outside. They all love the outdoors and nature. Our vacations for the most part were spent in tents up in the Redwoods with a real campfire and long walks. Even now my 17 year old goes outside to sit under a tree to read. The message from Adora in the video is a good one and I wish more parents would pay attention!
I'm not so sure the problem lies with "both parents working" but more that the parents do not turn off the T.V. and electroinics and enforce family time. I believe it's actually a learned behavior and has to start when the children are little. At dinner time if my 17 year old is listening to heavy metal or rock he will change it to classical or smooth jazz, put his phone on vibrate and we sit over dinner discussing the days events, news and music. I don't have to ask him...he just does it because that is what he was raised with.

Again I agree with you beloved Sue~

"the parents both working"

this IS exactly the biggest problem and as long the SOCIETY is like we have it now, it will not change!!
It is steered by the MONETARY system which soon WILL collapse, but we need to have patience!!

hi SiNeh,
thanks, at our time we was kids, we run through woods and gras, didn`t sit infront of a pc or tv, we was outside and played with all what mother earth us gave to play, we saw the birds and learnd their names, we saw all animals and learnd to know them, we touched mother earth and felt her heartbeat, we woke up and enjoyed the sunrise, the rain, the weather what ever was, today the kids dont know about the can laugh and enjoy, fighting, drinking smoking, the parents both working, dont knowing what their kids are doing, they get the key to come home when ever they want to come home. I dont can understand this, at the time my girl was a kid, I was at home, all knowing about her, and her friends. Now we are to each other friend, daughter and mother. She is making her live in good, oh yes , we had troubled times, still now, but we are no matter, happy and thanking the creator for all , he give us.
We must give our kids a new understanding for all and the touch with the natur and mother earth. Our kids need our love, mother earth and a feeling, that they are needed in this world, each kid no matter where it comes from.
many dear greetings,
your Sue
