Underwater Sculpture

by Jason deCaires Taylor, near the island of Gili Meno, Indonesia

Jason deCaires is creating an underwater sculpture off the island of Gila Meno in Indonesia. The sculpture encourages coral & fish to flourish.

The underwater sculpture elicits a feeling of being in a garden, quiet and still, immersed in life all around as we continue with the details of daily life.

There is a sense of community under the waves.

The underwater sculpture is not far from the island of Gila Meno in Indonesia. Only about 500 people really live here. Tourists come to just relax because there isn't much to do here.

The island of Gili Meno is the smallest of the three Gili Islands located between Bali and Lombok Indonesia.
