Many of us shed silent tears
Many times hidden inside
Unseen tears that should have been shared
Yet in todays world it is not accepted
You are seen as weak
Even children in this day and age
Are many times taunted
Ridiculed and teased
Many resort to drugs and alcohol
Our Children our Men and Women serving
Just everyday people struggling
In a chaotic world
I wonder
When the world will become aware
Become a little kinder
More understanding
And reach out with helping hands and hearts
I refuse to hide my tears
When I cry for the child
Found dead from drugs or alcohol
or that Soldier or Veteran
who has given up
The common man who can no longer face
losing everything and everyone
leaving him to suffer alone.
They all tried to cope
Tough it out
Drugs, alcohol and last resort
Suicide.
Struggling in this world
To end the ignoring of the suffering
of so many
As again I read the words
Death by
Self inflicted wounds
