Requiem

A requiem is a mass for the departed. In this case Mother Earth writes the words and music expressing her love for all of life on Earth. It takes place in a time called "Kairos" by the Greeks, not clock time, but a time appropriate, opportune and timely. So it can be different for each of us.


We may detect this love, a silence really, by focusing on the various sounds of Earth we normally hear that surround it. In this way we may sense in some way the quietness, the love, inside of things, inside the Earth.

Stillness of Rock and Stone

This is getting the sound of stillness in the rock by hearing the roar of the ocean AROUND it. Stillness is the inner — the sourceness, the core and essential. The roar of the ocean is the outer.

We do this knowing there is an inside and outside to things. Focusing on the outside our mind takes us to the inside -- the opposite pole -- a very quiet place ...
