the fact we can express our love for all that is good in our lives..
Many years ago I rescued a guy we called Charlie..
Age unknown , just knew of neglect, meals few and far between ,
filth and squalor.. When the call came they had a agressive unwanted
un sellable I was hooked, paid the price and brought Charlie home.
We had 2 weeks of one on one me loving him drawing blood. He only knew
2 words both not acceptable in any church.
Charlie learned many words and learned to accept the hands of
Friendship from other humans without fear or intimidation.
Then he fell in Love with our Daughter calling her name and
always on the lookout for her.. So after years with me he was transferred
to her home and her children as a birthday gift..
Charlie lived with her for many years bring happiness into her home
and those who entered her hom.... Then Ron entered Charlies life...
Ron was battling Cancer, and lived alone, so Charlie move in with
Ron to Comfort and be a Companion during his Final months, weeks,
days, and final breathe..
Then Charlie returned home just a few days ago calling out names and
letting everyone know he was back home again..
I believe he had to have his final farewell..
Because as our Daughter and Grand children were here with me after
completing the Hood to Coast Run raising money for a
Cure for All Cancers..
The Call came in last Night Charlie had collapsed and passed away
As I write this I remember the song
Somewhere Over The Rainbow
Well Charlie has now got his forever Wings and has Joined
Ron and all of those we Love who lost their Battles with Cancer..
The Pets we have lost to Cancer.. and our Ancestors..
So many come into this world only looking for love.
They sometimes face horrible trials we cannot imagine
Yet when we lose them we can look back and see all the
Beauty they have left behind in our hearts.
So Rest In Peace Charlie
We will Remember all the Beauty, Love and Compassion you
had for those around you ..
