I live on a property out of town and am blessed with kang aroos, wallabies, rufus's, frog mouth owls, brown owls, kites, and eagles of many colours. We have the dingos whotouch my soul when they cry.We also have gallahs, lorikeets and cockatoos, both black and white. The Great Spirit brought me back to the land of my fathers birth 100 years after he was born. Down at the creek I have a mediatation spot in the bed of the creek (when it isn't flowing!) and there isn't a sound there. Truly the "Sounds of Silence". Blessed Be to all my new friends.

I laughed Mrs Down to earth about your comment on spiders. I have always shown them great respect, and have even hand fed them with insects ( this upsets those who are afraid of them - so I show off!) But I won't touch them and hate not knowing where they have scuttled to, especially as we have some rather poisonous ones here. I am the same with snakes. We do not kill them but we give them a great deal of respect. Sadly I have lost a dear dog, but that is the way of the bush and I painfully accepted it.
We are glad that you joined us and have shared the description of your lovely place.
When my hubbby's uncle visited a few years ago from Australia, the main thing my twins (they were 5 at the time) focused on was that it wasn't fair that he had kangaroos and we didn't...until they found out about the number of large spiders!
