When we say “I think,” the body interprets this as “I AM thinking,“ Thinking is an energy. So when we say we are thinking, it thinks we really ARE that energy. Energy has weight. Like baggage. It can weigh us down.
The same goes for feeling. When we say I AM feeling such and such, we again identify with the energy and so feel its weight at the end of the day.
It’s a healthy and liberating perspective to just recognize and observe our thoughts rather than to identify with them. (Sometimes of course we need to participate fully).
When we just experience our thoughts and don’t become attached to them, it liberates us from the mind. Doing this we can know a lightness as if on a vacation!!
