Memorial Weekend

There is no celebrating here
No picnic's or shopping mall sales
It's my time to Remember all those who Gave Their All
Leaving so many Families and Friends in a state of devastation over their loss.

At my age i can say truthfully those lost in Afghanistan and Iraq were young enough to be my Children or Grand Children
Remembering their faces and re reading some of their letters
Reminds me of some of their hopes and dreams upon returning home

The Fallen of every war means we have lost many beautiful minds and hearts
Means that Families, Friends, and Comrades in Arms are remembering their loss
As a American i pray American's realize the Price Paid for Freedom has been Very Dear

We should all Protect and Defend this Republic

To Honor our Fallen
