The Flags are placed
A coin left on each headstone
Memories and many faces remembered
Even more that were never known to me
Men and Women who gave their all
For me, mine and yours

None of those lost or who served at their side
Wanted fame or fortune
They all stepped up to answer a call
They all took a Oath
Many still live that oath

As I placed a Flag and a Peace rose for my husband
All I could do is Pray
People will wake up
Honoring All Those who Defended to their dying breathe
To Honor those who made it home
Who will Never Forget their Fallen Comrades
While supporting those who put on a Uniform
Knowing the Price they may have to pay
For Our Freedoms

Oh I do look back Michael, understanding the lessons learned and the many sacrifices while looking forward and wondering if I will be able to leave my great, great grandbabies with a understanding of all that is important
