I did not see the movie though I was certainly attracted to the story.  Maybe because I have dealt with depression in my life.  I was fortunate that loving souls were able to pull me out of that bottomless abyss that was so dark.

I really like Studio Ghibli movies - they are visually stunning with a great message. This movie, if you look deeper than the surface, deals with depression.
