When out taking our canyon hikes, I like to stop every so often to stack rocks. Don't know why, just feel like doing this. This time I brought along a skull friend a friend made for me in the Raku style baked clay and paint.

I guess I am not the only "rock stacker" since last time hiking there were additional rock stacks someone or few people put up alongside. Did not have my camera to photo but will next hike for sure.
Mrs. Down-to-Earth, looked that word up and I think it is this:

An inuksuk (plural inuksuit)
is a stone landmark or cairn built by humans, used by the Inuit, Inupiat, Kalaallit, Yupik, and other peoples of the Arctic region of North America.
