I don't know anything about birds! LOL, I can name a crow and a duck...I guess that's a start! See...this a duck!

The Gorget on this Hummingbird is very bright! He was trying to attract a girl for the springtime nesting.

Here is a photo of him on dormant shrub twig a little further away

Thank you. The sun was shining upon him just right. Also, I read something about the head feathers, I think if I recall correctly called Gorget, there is the way the birds will move the feathers, ruffle them, so the sun will reflect this brightness.

Yes, that is a smaller bird that got caught by this hawk in flight.

Thank you. It was a sound that made me look up to see then took this photo. It was just about sunset too, so happy to have been able to get the pic even though felt bad for the little birdie!
I know, nature's way and birdie here likely had some young ones to feed.

Out of the field of crows, one seemed to enjoy me watching and more curios about me than the rest of the crew...

I just love the crows; such personalities they seem to have.
