Feather Ruffle and Fluff time....
It looks like you have a big variety of birds in your area to photograph. Thank you for posting them!
There are so many!

The ones I'd love to photo would be the owls such as the Great Horned Owls and the Barn Owls or Screech Owls that live in the canyon areas; but my camera is not equipped for night vision photos.

Don't know what kind of bird this is, but he sat there looking so pretty I had to get his picture.

"Hey! Are you listening to me? Listen while I talk to you!"

Just a thought that went through my mind as I sat watching this one yap at the other.
I love it!..hummm they must be married!
And he must be the one holding his head down!

Just kidding they do look like a married couple though!
yes Dear...whatever you say Dear...
Ha! Yes, likely the "lady" trying to ignore!

Long-Billed Curlew at Torrey Pines State Beach, keeping a close eye on me while hunting for food such as crustaceans and other aquatic organisms in mudflats.
I just took this one a few weeks ago at the duck pond...Is this the same kind of bird? I was wondering what kind of bird this one was.

Thank you Val...It is an American avocet Recurvirostra americana
Not the same kind look at the long curved beak of the one in my photo.

This one is very beautiful! You got a great photo with such lovely coloration of the bird.

I will see if I can find what kind this is.
