How To: The New HTML Editor

NING has changed the HTML comment boxes for adding HTML comments to a friends pages, groups and forums. They are still working out the bugs and making changes to the editor bar. The only major change is if you copy a HTML code from a comment site you have to click on the HTML button on the right side of the bar before you paste it.

Most of what is on the bar is self explanatory. Here is a screenshot of the HTML editor on the profile pages. I have put guide numbers below the boxes corresponding to the explanations below.

1. Click on this to add a LINK.
2. To add an image from your computer or URL. I'm still having problems with this one. If you change the size of the pixels it won't publish the new size. If you want the image smaller or larger click on the HTML button and at the end of the code you will see "width". You can manually change the size of your image here. Delete the numbers after width (image size) that are there and add your own size. I usually use 500 for photos and comments.
3. Add videos from your computer or add HTML from video sites. NOTE~ you can still use just the HTML tab on the right for adding videos.
4. If you type anything into the box and it doesn't show click on "T" for text.
5.-8. Usual settings. Bold, italic, strickthru and underline.
9.-11. Align left, center and right.
12. Blockquote. still doesn't seem to work right.
13.&14. Unordered and ordered list.
15. Remove formatting. This option does not work if there is a theme on a page or group.
16. Click on the HTML button to add code from comment sites or videos. You can switch back and forth between the HTML button and image button(#2) to check what your post will look like.
