About Me:: I am a very active woman who will soon be 80 years young. I look upon age as a number and I look back on my life and have no regrets apart from not being able to travel overseas now due to the hassle of airports, etc. I love reading and do so every night when I go to bed. During the day my time is taken up with making notes for my book I am determined to finish this year and also I spend time talking to my friends in far-away places on the internet and by e-mail. I love life and my two youngest grandsons take up quite a large part of it. My youngest son and his wife live close by so we are never too far away. My oldest grandchildren are scattered around the United States and this is another of my regrets that I can't be with them more.

Thanks to everyone who is staying in touch with me. I have not been able to get on line for days! The connection to the internet has been very "iffy" since October 25th....have had three engineers out to check out what is wrong and they have found out it is in the cabinet about half a mile away--the copper wires are corroded. I have just got back on here and another engineer will be here tomorrow at 8a.m. to make sure I stay connected (as far as possible--haha) Wish it was Spring already, I don't like these sub-zero temperatures. Going to help Charlie celebrate his 2nd birthday tomorrow with a chocolate cake and a bus that is educational in that it has numbers, colours, tunes, and songs on it.....push buttons!! Haha.

LOL, I wish it was New Orleans! Nope, just San Francisco for the weekend. All of the big cities here have Mardi Gras parades and events now. San Francisco is less than an hour away from where I live but it was sooo nice to get a room and just stay the whole weekend there. I had a weekend pass for one of the clubs that was celebrating but I only went the 2 nights. We had just a few sprinkles so the weather was O.K...on the warm side for this time of year. New Orleans on the other hand was hit with a bad storm and a tornado.
