To Walk the Red Road, you have given rights. You have the right to pray, you have the right to dance, you have the right to think, you have the right to protect, you have the right to know Mother Earth, you have the right to dream, you have the right to vision, you have the right to teach, you have the right to learn, you have a right to grieve, you have a right to happiness, you have the right to fix the wrongs, you have the right to truth, you have a

To me, The Good Red Road is a point in your life where and when you are ready for a journey in pursuit of Knowledge, Self Identity, and Spiritual Growth within the Native Way of Viewing Natures Lessons , and allowing ourselves to be Taught by Earth Mother and all her Creatures To9 live in Balance and Harmony With our fellow man and all of Earths Inhabitants, and ultimately guided by The Great Spirit. I have been following the Good Red Road most of my life, and have no regrets. AHO Rev Grey Owl Elder of the Owl Medicine Society

To Walk the Red Road is to look for beauty in all things.

  • LadyHawkღ

As an avid photographer I have a choice...Do I pick that beautiful flower and take it home to capture it's beauty in a surrounding I have planned or leave the beauty for others to bask in it's glory. I leave the flower so it may drop its seeds so gererations to come may cherish the creation of color.

It is not blood that makes an Native American...
    It is the soul....
Too many... with fire of Native blood... walk ignored.
Do not say I am Apache or Kickapoo..
Do not say I am Sioux or Cherokee.
Say.... I am of the Mother Tribe...
This is the pain of our children...
To return from the stars without a home or community...
A tribe lost returns... scattered in the wind.
Those who hear must unite and reap the seed of this return.
    ONE tribe...ONE Earth...ONE Heart...ONE People.
Those with ears must build a fire and give thanks this night.
    Be united with ONE soul.
    Oh, my Children come home...
    Teachers step forward without fear...
    You are real.

Thank you for inviting me to participate in this lovely group!

Having somehow found myself born into the "wrong" culture I am especially grateful to have found a gathering of people who share my core values and priorities rather than despising me for them.

(So, what I'm trying to say is, "You guys Rock!")

  • LadyHawkღ

Thank you Cindy! I'm half German (Dad is Jewish) and half Indian (Mom is Catholic)...Haha, talk about having to pick a culture! Somehow we learned to blend everything together while I was growing up...Ah well, so my kids have a few "strange" traditions. Welcome to the group!
