"Specials"

These dances honor a person or group, who lead a procession around the arena as others join in. There are many reasons to have a special, such as a birthday, or when someone is "enters the arena" for the first time.

Many powwows also have a variety of special children's dances. These vary from powwow to powwow. And ALL children are invited to join in.
