Well the wolf showed no aggression at all, it just kept looking at me, it didn't seem afraid or leary of its surroundings, it was more like comfortable i guess?
I know totems come and go and then there is the ONE that is a lifer. I thought it was the wolf which is weird, i think they are beautiful but never had an interest of any kind, Bear either for that matter. Well i hope it visits again, lol. Thanks for looking that up for me! :)

Here are two helpful hints from Dream Vision. I remember reading an article about wolf visions and can't find it now...sorry...I do remember if the wolf was pawing at the ground that meant danger and a friendly one meant positive changes...

5.Review your dream and pay attention to any emotions you feel. Stay with the emotion - just feel it and follow it as it moves through you. Often, going with the flow of emotions is enough to reveal dream or vision meaning.
6.Think about any events, symbols, or physical sensations in your dream that stand out. Open your mind and explore what they could represent, again paying attention to any emotion you feel. Remember to explore obvious meanings, as well as less obvious ones. When you hit on the accurate meaning, you will likely have an "Aha!" feeling, you may feel a physical reaction, and you will just feel "in your gut" that it is the true meaning. Hi Shannon...I did some interesting reading this morning about your question and here are some of the things I came up with. Maybe others have a better answer..
Raccoons symbolize curiosity, disguise, dexterity, seeking guidance and confidence, questioning fear, balancing curiosity and inquisitiveness. Native Americans consider the raccoon to be the oldest animal in America, while this is not true, the opossum is actually the oldest species.
A totem can be the symbol of a tribe, clan, family or individual. Native American tradition provides that each individual is connected with nine different animals that will accompany each person through life, acting as guides. Different animal guides come in and out of our lives depending on the direction that we are headed and the tasks that need to be completed along our journey.
Native beliefs further explain that a totem animal is one that is with you for life, both in the physical and spiritual world. Though people may identify with different animal guides throughout their lifetimes, it is this one totem animal that acts as the main guardian spirit.
With this one animal a connection is shared, either through interest in the animal, characteristics, dreams, or other interaction.
This Animal Guide offers power and wisdom to the individual when they "communicate” with it, conveying their respect and trust. This does not necessarily mean that you actually pet or spend time with this animal, more that you are open to learning its lessons. the mini fire pit and the swi…tag:warriornation.ning.com,2011-04-19:6193495:Comment:592122011-04-19T14:04:08.339ZShannon Brownhttps://warriornation.ning.com/profile/ShannonBrown

What about Raccoon? I shared a dream to an elder who told me it was a vision and not a dream. I've only shared it with 2 other people so maybe you can help me with this. I have a picture of this vision, it's an actual place in the Allegheny's in PA. In my vision is was sitting behind our huge fire pit. Behind the fire pit is two trees. I dont believe i had a fire going i was just sitting outside. From between the two trees came a wolf but there are no wolves there. It walked to the right and…

It walked to the right and just stood there looking at me, no aggression. At one point it lowered it's snout to sniff around then looked back up at me. I looked away to see if anyone else was seeing this and when i looked up it was gone. The other person i shared this with asked me why i thought this was my life totem...what else was i suppose to think? He is a gifted man and told me he sensed Bear around me. In the mountains i'm terrified of black bears, there are a lot of them. Everyone in my family has seen them there BUT me,lol. I'm hoping the creator knows my fear and keeps them from me,lol. Then not long after i had a vision of raccoon, pretty funny after i thought about it. I was in a hot tub or pool and it came waddling up to me, it kept looking at me and then the water as if to say, "is it ok if i get in" that was pretty much it. I was scared at first but afterwards i laughed because of the way it looked at me. I'll see if i can load a picture of the place where i envisioned the wolf. Wado and many many blessings to all.
