You would probably be better off with something like an attached Pergola. It would resist the wind much better. Depends on if you want it covered or not.

What i want is so simple but like many mothers i have son's who like to try and make life simple for me.. when i said sun deck cover i recieved a 10x10 pop up canopy. i may use it in the yard when they come to visit but i know positivitely when the next storm rolls in with winds over 65 mph it would be gone..so when the son-in-law comes down i will take him out to the lumber yard (he is in construction of homes and apartments) and he does listen to what i have to say..but this is something to be done when he is not overloaded with jobs..and i am a patient old gal..

Comment by Loretta Riddell (Elohi) on March 7, 2018 at 7:16am: Hoping everyone is having a womderful week so far.. i have been busy getting spring cleaning out of the way so i can enjoy spring when it gets here..2 of my eagles have chosen a perch up and high above me and for the last 4 days the 2 show up in the afternoon and stay there for a couple of hours.. today i need to refill more humming bird feeders and am thinking about buying more since i have 2 different speices now and they like siblings seem to squabble when they have to share. One day i hope to put a sun roof over the deck and porch then i can add even more feeders to the main structures. My avacodo trees suffered frost bite but the main trees and branches show signs of new growth even though they lost what looked like the possibility of fruiting this year..Checked out the magnolia tree and even through the winter storms it has held on to many of its buds which will be blooming before long.. I really feel blessed by all i have around me so i smile .. wishing you all are greeted with smiling faces today and you return the gift with your beautiful smile.. remember there are no carbon copies in this world and nobody's smile will be exactly like yours and you all are special in this world of ours..
