Loretta, Last year I found out only about 10% of all donated money to the Wounded Warrior project actually reaches them. Major money is skimmed off the top for the usual greedy execs and misc expenses. I love the project and what it stands for but I have been looking for other programs where most of the donations actually reach those that need it. If you or your Vet friends know of any please let me know.

I knew this was your site Creation along with others who work with you..I did not know about your packages and your Donations.. Those I take care of are mostly those Chaplins and other I know alerting me to someone needing to hear from home..oone was a foster child who signed up and the only mail he recieved was from the storage company protecting his meager belongs..Many times I send Birthday cards to be given out when someone is celebrating a birthday.. Which led to me gaining many children or the very young grand children...I do what I personally can for Wounded Warriors because I know how they help Families... I prayed to get that help for our Steven but the VA was to slow in responding to his request for help so I know personally the pain of military suicides...................And I know personally what Wounded Warriors did for a ill Warrior Mom struggling to care for her Wounded Warrior Son...thankfully she will live a few more years and she has seen the miracles in healing of her Son through this group....Maybe you can give me a mailing address for our Warrior Nation so those here can do what they can do to help out with whatever is needed and to increase the donations for Homefront and or Wounded Warriors....

Warrior Nation has made many donations to the Wounded Warrior Project over the years. We have also donated many supplies to Operation Homefront for care packages sent overseas.
Most people here do not know it costs me about $450.00 a year to run this site. I put in $300.00 a year and Golden Eagle adds another $200.00 to make sure the site is paid for and we don't have to charge membership fees like some other Native American sites do. The remainder of the money and all donations we receive go to The Wounded Warrior Project and Operation Homefront every year. It may not be much but it does come from the heart.
