Western Carolina University has begun to post Cherokee language lessons, Eastern dialect for free.
They are working with the Eastern Band in NC to teach and save the Cherokee language. They are including the audio with the lessons.

It's True, I was baptized Catholic, raised to be White, was even a John Bircher and a Young Republican. While in 2nd grade at a Catholic School and learning about God, one verse brought me a vision.
The verse was, (paraphrasing) "all those who do the Will of Our Heavenly Father will be disease free. The vision was a happy tribe of Native American Indian People, walking in a lush green valley under the mid-day sun. Through-out life I have been prompted to become tribal.
Again it hits home
Back in my day there were no Blue Lights put out when a Officer of the Law Lost their Life
I was fortunate as a Child I never had to live through the loss of a Father, but on many of the calls my Father responded to as a Police Officer and Sheriff we still lived with a Fear..
