Well, I went to a nutritionist homeopathic naturalistic practitioner and she thinks likely iron deficient and I been working too many long hours and not enough peaceful sleep and not the right eating habits. (I got lazy with the healthy eating)

So, new eating habits in place and more iron rich stuff like spinach.

I will be back checking in at least once a day.

...well, I know the proper term is SPROUTING but for me, well, finding the seeds from an acorn, then watching them sprout and grow into trees they are so precious more like hatching than a sprouting for me! LOL!

Just have to share the story of my first real Bonsai Tree; this is an Oak Tree. Well, began as an Acorn I found on the sidewalk under an Oak Tree on one of my many walks. I first placed into a baggy with other Oak seeds then moistened with a bit of napkins then placed into the refrigerator for 1000 hours. Then after that period of time I placed into small natural pots for growing.

After awhile I noticed a few sprouting into soon to be Oak Trees so I thought to turn just one into Bonsai; the rest would be planted down in the valley where there is an Oak Grove Forest where I feel they would love to be planted.

Anyhow; here is the first photos of the Oak Tree Bonsai to be.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoy the growing and can enjoy watching the process as I get photos.

Photo taken on February 12; tap root about one inch long so I planted into the Bonsai dish.

This one I shall Bonsai, ten other seeds that have sprouted also but they will be planted in the valley where there are other oak trees : )

I will post new photos as the precious little tree grows.
Keep Pe' Sla area in the Black Hills of South Dakota from developmenttag:warriornation.ning.com,2012-08-23:6193495:BlogPost:2052702012-08-23T16:00:00.000ZValhttps://warriornation.ning.com/profile/ValerieHarlow

This is about: Pe' Sla is an area in the Black Hills of South Dakota (just west of Rapid City) that is considered by the Lakota people to be the Center and heart of everything that is. It is part of our creation story. It is a sacred place. We perform certain ceremonies at Pe' Sla which sustain the Lakota way of life and keep the universe in harmony. This area is currently owned by the Reynolds family. They plan to auction off almost 2,000 acres on August 25, 2012 to the highest bidder. It is likely that the state of South Dakota will put a road directly through Pe' Sla and open up this sacred place for development. The seven bands of the Lakota/Dakota/Nakota Oyate (people) aka Oceti Sakowin (Great Sioux Nation) have a collective effort to buy as much of Pe'Sla as we can at this auction (although we also believe that the land cannot be owned and that our sacred places were illegally taken by the United States). Yet we are trying to work within the current U.S. laws to regain custody of our sacred sites and prevent future road and industrial development.

Well, past couple of nights I developed the wheezy symptoms of asthma at sunset that last through the night. Not so bad I cannot breathe but can tell with exertion of any kind, doing my Aerobics after lifting weights, power walks, treadmill and step machine out of the question. I have been trying to think what would suddenly trigger this. I have been very active for well over a year now with no problems at all. Eating healthy and no sudden change there at all. Canyon hikes I have been doing for several years almost every late afternoon/early evening with husband with no problems for a very long time never a problem there either.

Well, in the meantime our insurance ran out and can not afford insurance at all right now. We have looked into so many different plans and all want well over 1000.00 a month just for my husband and I.

I have looked into the Medi-Cal and other help options and they all say we make too much to qualify. So, looks like cash out of pocket. I am heading to a Minute Clinic run in those Rite-Ade shops in hopes of just getting a quick check up so I can get an inhaler. Did a lot of price shopping this morning to find best prices and they are lower than any of the clinics around us by far. I was going to go to local Urgent Care but they want over 160.00 deposit. Then they bill you more when all is said and done and will not give discount on medications from what they told me.

Trying to find affordable healthcare when uninsured and overqualified for help is frustrating to say the least!

I will update this when I get done with the Minute Clinic to let you all know what I think: Worth it, good care, actual help...etc...Possession of Hawk, Eagle and other bird of prey featherstag:warriornation.ning.com,2011-05-28:6193495:BlogPost:776632011-05-28T01:51:24.000ZValhttps://warriornation.ning.com/profile/ValerieHarlow
I used to have quite the collection of lovely feathers then when somebody told me about the law I got scared that I would get busted for having them so took them all back to the canyon area where I found them over the years and placed them all into a forested area off the main trails. My brother in law is a park ranger too, and I certainly did not want him showing up at my house seeing them! Seriously though, I respect the laws and understand the reasoning.

Anyway, for those not familiar with the law here is a link to information about this:
