Canadian born First Nations (Wabanaki) Artist , Blackie Steele, has been playing both Piano and Guitar for most of her life. Her musical background began with The Royal Conservatory of Music at the age of 5 years old. Her apprenticeship began after demonstrating an acute ear and gift for music. After 13 years of study, competitions and performances, Blackie successfully earned several Music Degrees, a Graduation Scholarship, and many other Awards and Ceritifcates. At the very young age of 18, Blackie performed for over 60,000 people in London, Ontario which brought her into the notice of the professional industry.

People burst into tears when they hear this woman play. Recordings of any kind are a true injustice to this woman's talent. Her status as a Piano Teacher allows her to apply musical ideas in new and unique ways, and when those ideas fill the room, the listener is transported away into Blackie's world of dreams!
Enjoying a wide variety of music, Blackie finds orchestral and instrumental music to be particularly appealing and inspiring. Blackie Steele is also the very first Amercian Indian Female Guitar Shredder in history. Her deep love of Classical and Neo-Classical music shines through every original composition with a classic and unique style all her own. Playing from her heart and soul, Blackie's musical Ballads tell a story that will leave you entranced, deeply moved, and somehow profoundly lost in the puddle of your own soul!
"My God is Music. My husband is my Guitars. The Piano is my Goddess. I believe in blue skies and flying Eagles. My music is for me a big influence for healing and transformation in my life. It is my Divine Escape and also my Imprisoned Blasphemy." -BlackieSteele
