Nov. 21 is World Hello Day and I thought that fit with all the positive messages here. So say hello to your friends on WN or a member whom you've never spoken to before.

Have a great week end Val. Do not blame you for wanting to leave Cal. have a Son there who decided to buy a Motorhome so he could keep his job and still survive.. and make it to his retirement in 3 yrs
Hope you can find a place where you and your Hubby can enjoy life more...

Mornin' Val,
I wish the two of you the best on getting out of California. We left 4 years ago and moved to Washington state. California is very expensive any more and coastal Washington is about the same so we are near the Idaho border. Country is beautiful, smaller towns and good people for the most part.
Stay positive and by working together you two will most likely succeed at your goals.
Have a great day you two!!!

Lonmg time no see everyone

I am just keeping very busy with our work.
Hubby and I are working on a techie project and hope to begin selling online. This driving all day here and there to make a few bucks in the repair business is just getting us worn out!

We want to move out of this too high rent areas as well, and out of California!

We are thinking Ohio, or somewhere where we can afford to live without the stress of barely getting by month to month.

Loretta Riddell, you be safe on the cold icy walkways and streets!

Don't want to fall, okay?

We had some rain last night, but very humid, and about 74 degrees. Next week going to be in the 80's again. I wouldn't mind some snow!

My prayers for Olivia. May there be quick recovery and good health for both.

Well, I wish for everyone a beautiful day/night and weekend ahead.

I will stop in again as soon as I get a moment.

Greetings ,
Woke this morning to a deck covered with hail pellets.. Enough to create a very slippery situation... and my furry little ones were not overly pleased.. They will learn nothing is promised for me or them and winter will deliver them many surprises that will not please them...I do wish everyone a wonderful weekend

Mornin' All,
Thank you Loretta for that information and for sure will keep Jim and Olivia in my thoughts and prayers. Love is such a wonderful thing and also one of the easiest things to express and yet the other side of that seems to fill the media these days. But that, as I see it is all the more reason to be reminded how important it is to hold on to compassion, love, caring and looking out for each other. I have always felt that when a people lose their language and culture they lose their souls as well and so it is with love...to lose that ability to love rather than hate, to see difference rather than commonality.... is the path to losing ones own self. Love and hate are both four letter words...one destroys...the other heals and it is easier on the body to express goodness than it is to get all worked up with anger.
One thing I learned as a Corpsman in Vietnam was that life can end in an instant for anyone...there are no promises of a tomorrow and all we have is the moment so why not make the best of it rather than dwell in the negative.
Here at WN I find hope, inspiration, caring and good energies and I hope the rest do also. Today is a good day to share a smile, to reach out and help someone or just be a listening ear for those in pain. I enjoy walking beside people...never in front or behind but side by side as an equal even if they don't see life that way.
Look in your mirror...love yourself enough to love others and forgive yourself that you can forgive others and move forward along your path to the top of your own sacred mountain.
We have had a lot of rain here in the last 24 hours and woke to a dusting of snow. The Cloud People have gathered in council and are taking their time in deciding what will be next but I know that behind the clouds is the Sun with all it's good life giving energy and reminds me that even when gloomy times come along all I need to do is look a little harder and find the rays of sunshine to light my day.
Walk in beauty each of you...know what a wonderful gift you are and when sad times come remember that tears cleanse the soul and without tears, there can be no rainbows.

Hot Chocolate weather today... while sitting outside I enjoyed the changing weather with a blast of rain, hail and suddenly dry. Mother Nature putting on a show and of whats to come.. Mt Hood has snow and my mountain passes have seen a few flurries but no reports of it sticking..so will wait for daylight and go out to check Saddle Mountain.. If it has snow then I know I need to get myself prepared for whatever Mother Nature has planned for me..she always brings me joyful times..

Wishing everyone a wonderful day and I ask none of you take this day or any day for granted. Last night I heard from a Brother Veteran whose Wife the love of his life is in the Hospital asking for prayers for something that seems impossible to overcome..He has placed his trust in God and he knows God knows Olivia has always been there for Him before Nam and after Nam facing every up and down together as one..So if anyone feels inclined to also pray for Olivia and Jim I thank You.. So please be like Jim who will Smile even with a heavy heart knowing if time ends for his love she will see a Smile instead of tears...

We never know what is next so make this a good day for those you Love.

Another day with mornings in there 40's and I sat outside with my hummingbirds.. I do have a couple that have accepted the human greetings and will sit with me on their perch's occassionally having nectar while I had my coffee.. Even during the stormy weather of the last couple days they have been right here.. This morning the Eagles were even flying low as they headed for the bay.. If life granted me just one wish I would wish that all children and adults could enjoy that peaceful feeling of being connected with the Earth and Nature feeling the beauty of what surrounds us which many are blind to.

Have a wonderful day and Smile as you make your way through it. You may be the only sign of hope for someone in need.
